What’s better than a delicious and colourful cocktail in hand on weeknights or while hanging out on poolside with family and friends on weekends. It’s the perfect way to kick off the summer.
We have list of drinks that are not only easy to make but are filled with the season’s freshest and delicious ingredients. Here are few classic cocktails to enjoy throughout this summer season.
Pina Colada
It’s a very popular cocktail made with rum, coconut cream and pineapple juice. It can be served either blended or shaken with ice. You can garnish it with a pineapple wedge or maraschino cherry.

Ingredients:
1 pound (about 3 cups) frozen pineapple chunks
3 ounces (1/3 cup) white rum
2/3 cup coconut milk
Garnishes (optional): fresh pineapple slices, maraschino cherries or cute little paper umbrellas
Directions:
Put all ingredients together in a blender and make a smooth puree. If the mixture is too thick, you can add in extra water or coconut milk to blend it perfectly.
Serve immediately for the best taste and topped with your desired garnishes.
Tom Collins
An all time favourite Gin classic – Tom Collins. It is essentially a classic cocktail made from gin, lemon juice, sugar, and carbonated water, a perfect companion on a warm day.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces gin
1 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup
3 ounces club soda (or more)
Garnish (optional): maraschino cherry, lemon or orange slice
Directions:
Get all ingredients together.
In a collins glass filled with ice cubes, pour the gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup.
Stir thoroughly.
Add club soda.
Garnish with a cherry and an orange or lemon slice. You can also pin the cherry to the citrus fruit using a cocktail pick to make a garnish known as a flag.

Ingredients:
3 oz orange juice
1 1/2oz tequila
Juice of 1/2 lime
3/4oz grenadine (pomegranate syrup)
Lime slice
Directions:
Blend all the ingredients except the grenadine and lime slice in a blender or shaker, with crushed ice.
Pour the mixture into a tall glass with more ice.
Slowly pour in the grenadine.
Garnish with the lime slice

1 1/2 ounces whiskey
2 pieces of lemon
Few mint leaves
3/4 ounce simple syrup
1/2 ounce club soda
Directions:

Add the bourbon and shake it.
Fill a chilled old fashioned glass with crushed ice and strain the mixture into it.
